1.         James King (WSU alumnus) of Hollister-Steir in Spokane is looking for graduating chemistry students for full time jobs in this company.  They are a contract Pharmaceutical company in Spokane and need organic, bioorganic, analytical, and biochemistry students.  They also have summer intern positions for rising juniors.

2.         Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society Undergraduate Scholar Awards

Awards are being offered to recognize outstanding original research and creative scholarship by undergraduate students working in the sciences. Projects undertaken during any of the last 3 semesters are acceptable for consideration. A letter of nomination from the faculty advisor with whom the project was undertaken and an original research paper or project report, or similar evidence of research, scholarship or creative activity are to be sent to Dr. Margaret Black (campus zip 6534) by Friday, March 7th, 2008. 3.         This is to remind you that the deadline for submissions for College of Sciences Undergraduate Research Minigrants is this Friday, February 29th.  The minigrants will be awarded for summer research and the amount of the award is $2500.  The link to the instructions for application is enclosed. 

If you have students who are interested and would benefit from this minigrant, please encourage them to apply.
