Notes:
-
Students completing this curriculum will be certified to the American Chemical Society.
-
At least 40 of the total hours required for the bachelor's degree in this program must be in upper-division courses.
-
Students must have two years of high school foreign language (the same language) or accommodate one year of university language study into their schedule.
-
At least one of the GER courses (H, S, I, G, or K) must also carry the [D] designation.
Footnotes:
1 Highly motivated students are encouraged to take Chem 116 in place of Chem 106. Students who have taken Chem 101 must take Chem 105 and 106, or 102 and 106.
2 May be offered alternate years only.
3 Electives must include at least 3 hours of advanced chemistry courses based on physical (Chem 332) or organic (Chem 342) chemistry. All 500-level chemistry courses also meet this requirement. Up to 3 hours of 300-level Math or Physics may be used with permission. Chem 499 and Chem 495 may not be used to meet this requirement.
